Online webs tools like Google Calendar can help students organize their schedules and get everything done in timely fashion while website like Twitter can help them socialize as well as find information efficiently. Below is a list of ten most useful websites for college students with a brief description of each.

1. Google Calendar

Time management is very important to succeed in college. Google Calendar is a free web service available to anyone with a Google account, which is free too. Some notable features include the ability to quickly add an event, with click of a button after specifying the event with few words like – “Lunch with John tomorrow at 11am” creates an event for the next day at 11am with details of the event as “Lunch with John”.

Google calendar also includes feature to add publically available calendars like US Holidays or schedules of a sports team to your personal calendar. It is run by an organization that has been founded to provide everyone with world-class education. They feature thousands of lectures from across the world on topics ranging from Biology to Political Science. The best part is – they are all available online for free. Anyone can use them anytime.

The site has lectures from top universities like Harvard, MIT, Yale and more. The lectures presented are from actual classes from those universities. So you can now actually afford to get Harvard-education right from the comfort of your home. This website can be very useful to college students who are willing to find reference materials. It also helps to understand the concepts on any topic when you hear (and see) somebody else explain it if you have a boring professor for your class. If you are in college or taking any classes we highly recommend you take advantage of this and wish you Good Luck with your classes.

They are online retailers based at Carrollton, Texas focusing on selling cool stuff for cheap. They offer one item for sale per day. It can be anything from a comic book to HDTV and the price they sell them for it unbeatable. The important thing to remember is the items being sold are limited in quantity and usually they are sold out.

New deal is posted to the website every day at midnight (12AM) and the deal continues for 24 hours. If the item is sold out before the 24 hours there will be no other item for sale; hence the theme – one day one deal. They also have separate sub-sites that sell cool design shirts at shirt.woot.com and another one selling wine only at wine.woot.com. Also they feature a “deal of the day” at sellout.woot.com which redirects to the deal of the day page at Yahoo Shopping. The deal is same everywhere – one item per day. We hope you will find some cool things to buy at Woot. Happy wooting!
