Nepal U19 defeated Bhutan U19 3-1  in the opening match of the 1st SAFF U-19 Championship on Thursday at the astro turf of ANFA Complex, Satdobato, Lalitpur.

Bimal Gharti Magar scored a hat trick for Nepal. He also wasted a spot kick.

Nepal took lead in 10th minute with courtesy goal from Bimal. One minute later, Bhutan bounced by as Sonam Togbay scored a goal in 11th minute.

Bimal scored again in 29th and 62nd minutes.
