Purple was the colour that ruled last Saturday, April 21! That’s when Ncell Purple Saturday took over the streets of Durbar Marg.
The 8th Durbarmarg Festival was one fun filled event with people of all ages enjoying the activities. There were various stalls for food, games, face painting, etc. Children had their own playground section along with magic shows and painting competition while adults had a blast at the concert where numerous artists performed. Saptak, Axe band, Sugam Pokharel, Deepak Bajracharya and his band Rhythm, and Shreya Sotang were all able to cheer the crowd with their performances. During the performances by Pokharel and Bajracharya, there were also acrobatic dance and fire dance.
Another highlight of the festival was a flash mob. A group of students of Kathmandu College of Management (KCM) performed the flash mob sponsored by Ford as a promotional campaign for Ford City Chase.
The whole event was broadcast live from Radio Kantipur and also on Kantipur Television.
