An art, culture and public space research project, IMAP organised Artists In The City at Patan Museum on June 15, Friday. The event saw a number of activities take place such as musical performances, dance, and documentary screening.

Ethnic instrumental group Vairabi churned out some of their traditional sounds while alternative rock band Albatross rocked the stage with their hit singles. On the other hand, Classic Group showcased traditional dance numbers and Sankriti Samrakshan Manch performed contemporary as well as fusion dance acts. There was also KJC Combo who played a handful of jazz tunes. The entire audience seemed to enjoy the show thoroughly.

The featured documentary showed general public talking about public spaces; how they’re important to us and why it becomes our responsibility to take care of them.

Further events were also presented the following days. A street art workshop was organised at Basantapur on June 16 and another documentary screening took place at Sattya Media Arts on June 17.
