It had been quite some time since Kathmandu witnessed a number of great Nepali artistes sharing the same stage together. An Evening With Dikyi Ukyab is the event its audience is going to remember for a long time. The musical event was held at Army Officers’ Club Auditorium, Sundhara on July 28.

Upcoming singer Dikyi put up a brilliant performance at the concert that also featured a string of popular artistes Nima Rumba, Nhyoo Bajracharya, Ciney Gurung, Suzil Karmacharya and Yogeshwore Amatya. The crowd cheered on as they all sang their hit tunes.

The young talent performed songs such as “Ukalo Oralo”, “Jaun” and “K Bhayeko” taken from her debut album “Silver Lining”. She also introduced a few unreleased tracks to be featured in her forthcoming second effort. The cousin of fellow singer Astha Tamang-Maskey managed to add a surprising element in the form of her rendition of The Beatles’ song “I Want To Hold Your Hand” to which she did full justice. All in all, she succeeded in wowing everyone there.

The event was organised in aid of Wolangchung (Walung) Social Welfare Family.
