The talent contest for the highly awaited beauty pageant Princess Nepal 2012 was held at Hotel Shahanshah, Basundhara on October 13 (Ashwin 27), where 40 contestants presented different acts to showcase their talent.
The participants put up some energetic and confident performances including dance, singing, acting, reciting speeches and art sketching among others.
The event was initiated by Chief Guest Ajar Man Shrestha, the president of Lalitpur Chamber of Commerce, lighting the oil lamp. There were altogether six jury members to select and award one deserving contestant with the title of Miss Talent on the day of finale. The jury members were singer Uday Sotang, Sachin Shrestha (Brand Manager of U.F.O.), Amar Jyoti Ranjit (Marketing Manager of Castrol Lubricants), Ujwal Krishna Shrestha (President of Nepal Boutique Association), Khagesh Ranjitkar (President of Child Protection Forum Nepal) and vice principal of NIMS College Milan Shakya .
Apart from selecting the best talent among all the others, the event was also involved in a social initiative by assisting an organisation named the HIV Sikhshya Sadan. The organisers Nepalese Fashion Home are planning to build a school for the children infected by HIV, from classes one to five. Hence, the audience present there made various donations such as cash, clothes, food items, etc.

As for the final of Princess Nepal 2012, the beauty pageant is going to take place on October 18, 2012 (Kartik 2) at Nepal Academy, Kamaladi.
