Death Toll Reaches 21 For Trishuli Bus Plunge In Chitwan

The death toll in the Trishuli bus fall has reached 21 after one person died from injuries at hospital, as informed by the police. As many as 20 persons had died on the spot after the passenger bus bound for Pokhara, Kaski plunged into the Trishuli River at Chandibhanjyang of Chitwan district early Friday morning (August 26, 2016), according to The Himalayan Times.

The number of injured people was 17 when when the bus fell 100 metres down into the river along the Narayangadh-Muglin road section.

The passenger bus Ga 1 Kha 3709 was headed to Pokhara from Gaur of Rautahat district when it met with accident.

It is said that there were 39 people including bus driver and a conductor on the bus. The whereabouts of driver and conductor, however, was immediately not known.
