Eminem Drops ‘Headlights’ Video On Mother’s Day

Eminem has had rocky relationship with his mother since childhood. In fact, the rapper has even insulted her on various tracks, including his debut single, “My Name Is” and most notably “Cleanin’ Out My Closet.” But now, he wants to put all the bitter history behind and move on.

His current single ‘Headlights’ featuring Fun.’s Nate Ruess is an apology to his mother for the years of verbal abuse and “his plea for a united, or at least less dysfunctional, family.” So it comes as no surprise that the Grammy winning star has released the music video for the song coinciding it with Mother’s Day (May 11).

Filmed in Detroit, Michigan and directed by famed film director Spike Lee, the video takes a chronological look at the turbulent times between Eminem and his mother.
