After scoring the stunning goal that earned German football team their fourth world cup, Mario Götze has been the man of the moment. He’s now become even a bigger star than he was before! But apart from being the Super Mario who helped Germany beat Argentina to become the winner of the 2014 FIFA World Cup, Götze is also a hero outside the world of sports. He is associated with Plan – an INGO that helps poor children to access their rights to health, education, economic security and protection and is a sponsor/ambassador for Plan International Germany. And what might also be little known is that Götze has been supporting Plan Nepal.

The Bayern Munich midfielder has been assisting Plan Nepal for three months. The project is involved in providing education and training to the freed kamalari children in Dang, Banke, Bardiya, Kailali, and Kanchanpur in western part of Nepal.

As informed to Annapurna Post by Plan Nepal media manager Shree Ram KC, the footballer was willing to help the project as soon as he heard about the freed Kamalari children.
