The biggest musical extravaganza of the year, Hero 16th Hits FM Music Awards (HMA), 2069 is happening this week! The prestigious award function, organised by Hits Nepal Pvt. Ltd (Hits FM 91.2) annually, is taking place on January 18, Magh 5, Friday. Being held at Nepal Army Officers’ Club, Bhadrakali 3pm onwards, the show will be broadcast live on Nepal Television, Hits FM 91.2 as well as on their official website hitsfm.com.np.

Labeled as ‘Grammy of Nepal’, the first Hits FM Music Awards was hosted in 1997 with just seven categories. Now at its 16th year, the event has a total of 19 categories plus Lifetime Achievement Award which is honoured to one music personality who has made significant contribution to enrich the field of Nepali Music. HMA also pays the Tribute- a posthumous honour presented to great personalities who have contributed immensely to Nepali music.

This year’s edition of HMA will include a string of musical performances by Robin Sharma, Monkey Temple, Reema Gurung Hoda, Robin and The New Revolution and Jems Pradhan among others.
