India’s Border Security Force (BSF) Plane Crashed Near Delhi Airport

A small aircraft chartered by India’s Border Security Force (BSF) crashed in Dwarka district near the Delhi airport on Tuesday (December 22, 2015). Shortly after take-off, it hit a wall, and came down and burst into flames.

The plane was carrying 10 members of the border patrol force, all of whom have been reported dead, officials said.

The incident took place as the twin-engine plane was on its way to Ranchi in the eastern state of Jharkhand from Delhi’s international airport.

According to AK Sharma, chief of Delhi Fire Services the crash took place at around 09:50 India time (04:20GMT) moments after the technicians lost contact with ground control, as reported by AFP news agency.
