National television channel of India Doordarshan is set to broadcast Nepal Television (NTV) channel, it has been reported. Plans are being under talks for the Doordarshan channel to telecast NTV in India through DTH. The decision was made during the meeting held between these two channels in New Delhi on Monday (February 9, 2015).
AnnapurnaPost.com quoted NTV Chairman Nir Shah saying, “The process for Doordarshan channel to air NTV has begun. We plan to complete the project in about 3-4 months. Well believe Nepali speaking population in India will benefit from this move.”
It has also been reported that television series based on the creations of famous literary figures of both the countries are also being planned.
