Land on the Moon with Google Earth

July 20, 2009 – today marks the forty years anniversary of the first landing on the Moon and now you can virtually land on the Moon yourself too. Thanks to the new feature added by Google on their latest version of the Google Earth, you can now take a tour of the Moon, view various landing sites of the Apollo missions and get guided tours of the Moon from some of the astronauts who went to the Moon on those missions.

If you do not have Google Earth installed on your computer, download a free copy of the awesome software from Google here – http://earth.google.com and enjoy the tour of the Moon. Other such features include the virtual tour of the sky and the ocean too.
