NAC Permitted Direct Flight To South Korea For The First Time

For the first time since its inception, Nepal Airlines Corporation (NAC) has been given clearance to fly its jetliners straight to the South Korea. The airline has acquired permission to fly directly to the main hub Seoul Incheon Airport (ICN) in Seoul of South Korea twice a week- Sundays and Wednesdays. No other Nepali airlines have obtained this route permit for scheduled flight to Seoul till now.

According to NAC Corporate Director Ram Hari Sharma, the airline is committed to starting the direct flight route as early as October- November this year.

The airline plans to conduct this scheduled flight with its upcoming wide body Airbus 330-200 series aircraft with a seat capacity of 250 to 280 pax. AAR Corporation, an American aviation provision company, has offered to deliver the aircraft at the lowest price rate to the national flag carrier.

As reported by AviationNepal.com, the flight for Seoul will take off from Kathmandu at 7:20 PM and will take off from Seoul at 7:15 AM local time. The one segment of flight is estimated to take around 6 hours and 30 minutes.

Its future flight plans also include flying to Tokyo, Japan from Seoul International Airport to make connecting flight to the western part of USA convenient to the travelers flying from Seoul to USA making Japan their hub.
