One more person has been confirmed dead in the deadly Mt. Everest avalanche, thus bringing the total number of deaths to 13, as of Saturday evening.

As reported by NepalNews.com, the newly recovered body has been identified as Dorje Khatri, a Sherpa guide and resident of Lelep-9, Taplejung.

“Three more bodies are still lying buried in the snow. But we could not continue with the rescue operation today due to bad weather,” said Subir Shrestha, a liaison officer at the Mt Everest region.

The rescue operation will resume as soon as the weather condition improves, it is learnt.

The avalanche that erupted on Friday killed the Sherpa guides who were there for fixing the climbing ropes for this season.
