Prime Minister Sushil Koirala today participated in the debris removing campaign undergoing at the Basantapur Durbar Square area, which was demaged by recent ‘Gorkha’ quake. The area is enlisted in the list of World Heritage Sites.
Works are underway to remove the debris of the temples, shrines and other archeological infrastructures in the area, which were completely destroyed by the quake, in a speedy manner.
The Nepalese Army, Nepal Police, Armed Police Force and Kathmandu Metropolitan City are working with priority for the same.
On the occasion, Prime Minister Koirala also inspected the Basantapur Durbar, Hanumandhoka, Narsingh Chowk and Kumari Ghar.
