Police Arrest Seven For Selling Relief Materials

Police arrest seven people on the charge of selling relief materials meant for the earthquake survivors.

They were arrested from the remote Chaubas in Koshipari VDC. However, some of them have been found innocent and are being released as told to RSS by DSP at the District Police Office in Kavre Raj Kumar KC.

Further investigation into the incident is underway and the matter will be finalized later today (June 10, 2015).

Those arrested are Indra Lama, Punju Sharma of Dhuseni Shivalaya, Guna Prasad and Krishna Prasad Chaulagain of Gothapani-9, driver Prakash Tamang, Surya Bahadur Lama, and his son Bijaya of Chubas-7.

According to Chief District Officer of Kavre Sudarshan Dhakal, rice and beaten rice brought as relief support were found in two shops in Chaubas. CDO Dhakal further added that stern action would be initiated against those found involved in it.
