A Police Constable of Area Police Post at Bhaluchaur in Panchthar district has been arrested for his alleged involvement in a rape case on June 16, 2015, reports RSS.

Deputy Superintendent of Police of Panchthar Dipak Pokharel said that Dipesh Chaudhary was held on the charge of rape attempt against a 57-year-old woman. Chaudhary has also been accused of misbehaving with two other women in the village after consuming alcohol.

Earlier, the locals had staged a demonstration at Amarpurbazaar against the activities of Chaudhary. DSP Pokharel said that further investigations have been initiated against Chaudhary by keeping him in the District Police Office.
