Sandeep Lamichhane Invited By Clarke To Train At His Academy

Sandeep Lamichhane has been invited by former Captain of Australian Cricket Team, Michael Clarke to attend training at the Michael Clarke Cricket Academy in Australia.

The 16-year-old Nepali national-level cricketer, on Tuesday, also received invitation to play the local league with Clarke’s premier grade cricket club, Western Suburbs for the 2016/17 season.

Western Suburbs District Cricket Club, on a statement released on Tuesday, announced that the Clarke has sponsored the young leg spinner Sandeep to attend the training in the former Australian captain’s academy and to play the local league with the club.

“Sandeep is a fantastic young man who enjoys his cricket and is extremely passionate about the game. It is really exciting opportunity to have such a talented Nepali cricketer travel this distance to come and test his skills and improve his game at my academy. I am looking forward to working with him,” said Clarke, who had met Sandeep in Hong Kong last May during playing a Twenty20 tournament.

Clarke and Sandeep will reunite on the cricket field in the first match of the season in Sydney on September 24 when West will play against Mosman.
