After a month of training and other activities, 40 contestants of Kid Queen Nepal 2013 presented themselves at the Grand finale of Kid Queen Nepal 2013 on May 1, (18th Baisakh) Wednesday at Nepal Academy, Kamaladi. And sidelining all her contenders to take the crown, Sarmila Hamal has won the title of the 11th Kid Queen Nepal! Coming next to Sarmila as the first runner up is Swornim Sandhya Maharjan and Kristina Shrestha became the second runner up. The jury members of the event included: Phul Man Bal(Senior Sub-editor of Kantipur Daily), Nirnaya Shrestha (Performing Artiste, RJ), Ujwal Krishna Shrestha (President of Nepal Boutique Association of Nepal), Arjun Das Pradhan (President of Newa Pucha, UK), Jibeshwor Lal Shrestha (Vice-Principal of Namuna College of Fashion and Technology), Miss Newa 1133 Sudina Shrestha, Miss Newa 2013- Sunita Dangol, Punya Prasad Prasain (Chairman of Dikura Publication) and Amar Jyoti Ranjit (Marketing Manager of Nepal Overseas trading concern). The Chief Guest of the event was Dr. Shanshank Koirala. The Nepalese Fashion home has been organizing this event since 2003 A.D. This beauty pageant is targeted towards young girls aged between 9-13 with the aim of boosting up their confidence and developing their personality. There are ten crown holders of Kid Queen Nepal till date with Kalpana Rana being the first title holder. Last year’s winner Arya Pokharel crowned this year’s Kid Queen Nepal- 2013. The dress worn by contestants during welcome dance and crowning ceremony, were designed by the potential designers of Namuna College of Fashion and Technology. Here is the list of sub-title winners:
