Lots of proposals these days tend to be drawn out and elaborate, but as proven before, the simplest of gestures can be just as sentimental.

What starts out as a family Christmas card photo session quickly turns into a beautiful moment for the couple in the front. The camera takes the first picture which spells out “Merry X-Mas” but then the cameraman gets up to reset for a second one. While the fiance-to-be sits in front unaware, her family rearranges to spell “Marry Me?” for the next shot.

Her reaction after seeing the photo  — and her boyfriend on one knee behind her — says it all.
