World's Shortest Man Chandra Bahadur Dangi Dies

The world’s shortest man, Chandra Bahadur Dangi has died while undergoing treatment at Lyndon B.Johnson Tropical Medical Center, Pago Pago, American Samoa. Dangi was in the AS to attend a program.

76-year old Chandra Bahadur Dangi, who measured 54.6cm tall, was recognised not only as the “shortest man ever” but also as “the shortest man living” by Guinness World Records on February 2012. 

Dangi was born in a village in Dang in 1939, the seventh of nine children of his parents.
Dangi lived in a remote village Reemkholi in Dang district, looked after by family of his elder brother.
