Death of Parents in Hornet Sting Leave Four Daughters Helpless

Four daughters have been orphaned after their parents were killed by hornet sting. The girls lost their parents and a brother to the incident that occurred in a jungle near their house in Kaulegaunda of Beni Municipality-9 on October 18. Their father Dala Puri, 55, mother Shiva Puri 45 and brother Ashis Puri,12, died after they were stung by hornets.

Jenisha, 16; Tara, 14; Leela,10, and Pipala, 7, are rendered helpless and are in a great distress following the misfortune in the family, local Kauledanda Youth Club founding president Tejendra Baniya told RSS.

Eldest daughter Jenisa is a seventh grader at the Rastriya Secondary School Neptechaur while her sisters study in grade five, three and one respectively at the local Narabuddhi Salleri Primary Secondary School.

The Puri family is not well-off, as a result, the girls have been unable to perform the 13th day death rituals of their parents and brother. Fortunately, a local club has started a fund raising campaign in the name of victims´ family and so far Rs 150,000 has been collected. It has been planning to hand over the assistance amount to them soon. The club has appealed to one and all to extend support from their respective sides to the bereaved family.
