NAC Plane With 18 On Board Crashed

A Nepal Airlines plane with 18 passengers on board crashed at Khidim of Arghakhanchi district Sunday afternoon, reported Setopati.net. A 19-seater Twin Otter with the registration no 9NABB of Nepal Airlines, that took off at 12:43 pm from Pokhara Airport carrying fuel and passengers to Jumla, had gone missing for over two hours.

The website further states the police have already been initialized for rescue operation as told by Superintendent of Police Durga Kunwar. There were 15 passengers and three crew members -Pilot Shankar Shrestha, Co-pilot Rabindra Banjara and air hostess Mina Maharjan on board. According to Chief of Pokhara-based Nepal Airlines Mahesh Moktan, there were nine were males, one minor and one foreigner.

As reported by the website for national daily Republica also reported that the aircraft was supposed to land at the Jumla airport at 1:45 pm.
