Nepal’s First Brand Summit Held

The Himalayan Times Perspectives Brand Summit concluded Saturday, July 27. The first event of its kind kicked off on July 26 at Hyatt Regency, Kathmandu. There, brand gurus from India and Malaysia shared their branding expertise with over 300 participants coming from the Nepali brand market, including CEOs, brand managers, industrialists and communications experts.

At the two-day event, participants had an opportunity to meet world renowned branding experts like Raju L Bhatia, Kaushik Roy, Mohit Hira, Shivjeet Kullar, Lam Swee Kim, Annurag Batra, and Pradeep Guha.

Sessions were held about how important it is to keep up with change while developing a brand that stays connected with customers. Speaking on how one can make a successful brand, expert Ishaan Raina shared,“Fit into the customer’s life, they are not going to fit into yours”.

brandSecrets of winner brands and their success mantra were analysed through examples of the culture they follow. “Winning brands have values that change the world, not just their company”, expressed another expert Kaushik Roy during his session.

Interactions between participants and speakers made the program more happening. “Its a brilliant start. The level of exposure we got has raised the bar for future events like this” said senior corporate affairs officer of Standard Chartered bank, Rinky Singh Pandey.

One of the many highlights of the event was that it was hosted by former Miss World and author Diana Hayden participated.
