NST Election 2009 Results and Video Reporting

Nepalese Society Texas election 2009 concluded yesterday at midnight with a record turn out of voters, numbering to over 1700.

The polling held at Nepalese Community Center in Irving lasted for 16 hours. DfwNepal.com team interviewed several participants and got mixed feed backs regarding NST and the election. Most of them seem to know very little about NST and were voting for the first time ever. According to NST election committee member Kumod Rimal, this year’s election was very organized and successful compared to the previous ones. He also added that the participation of young voters had increased by a very large number.

Update (2:07pm): Vote counting is now over. Final result is tabulated below (via NST website).
