Be careful before you click those links on your emails. Below is a screen-shot of a fake/spam email which appears to be sent by Facebook Team asking a user to to update his/her account.

The links on these spam email take the user to a different web page which in turn can harm your computer with malware and possibly virus as well. Moreover, they ask users to type their important credentials like password, pin numbers, social security number and so on, which can lead to identity theft.

Tips on how to recognize these spam messages:
• The message ask you for username or password or has a link and wants you to click on the link to modify or update your account details.
• Check the email header (details about sender, receiver and date on the top) to see whether the sender/receiver email addresses look suspicious.
