The biggest fashion extravaganza in the country TGIF Nepal Fashion Week 2011 concluded last Sat, 24th Sept. The four-day event, which took off on Wed, 21st Sept, had creations with numerous themes from 79 designers. One of the designs showcased was from renowned Bangladeshi designer Emdad Hoque. Over all, the collections offered varied looks and fresh styles with the designers experimenting with fabrics and detailing.

There were altogether 20 models including six from India. Miss India International 2011 Ankita Shoray also walked up the ramp on day one.

Extremely well organized, the invitation-only program was attended by many celebrities and who’s who from Kathmandu and that added more glitz to the already glamorous event. It has been receiving fair reviews so far.  The fashion shows was later followed by after parties where the guests enjoyed exquisite delicacies and superb music.

For all the four days, Kathmandu savoured gorgeous collections at the seventh edition of TGIF NFW ’11 which certainly raised the bar for other fashion events in Nepal.
