Nepali Film Loot Screening In Paris

The movie that created a history in Nepali cinema Loot is being screened at the first edition of the International Film Festival of South Asia transgressive in Paris, France. The event, which is dedicated to screen films from Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Nepal, and from across India, started from January 16 and will conclude on January 20.

Starring Saugat Malla, Richa Sharma and Karma, Loot is one of the six movies featured in the film festival, along with Delhi Belly (India).

An awards ceremony will also take place at the event during the its closing ceremony. The Nischal Basnet directed movie will be competing for the jury’s Special Award -a panel of professionals from different horizons, will award a movie and the winning director will be presented with the trophy designed by Antoine Lesur. There will be also be the student jury award and the prize of the audience through voting.

The organisers believe this festival is the best way to prove South Asian films are more diverse and complex than many may think them to be.
