Bandh Enforcers Torch Up Local Bus With Passengers On Board

The bandh enforcers affiliated to  the 33-party alliance torched a passenger bus for defying bandh in Dhulikhel, on Sunday morning

(September 15, 2013). According to police, passengers of the bus, however, managed to escape unharmed before a fire engulfed the bus.

Police said that the bus (Ba 2 Pa 5672) was on its way to Melamchi while the incident took place.

According to Sunil Malla, a police inspector at Dhulikhel, they have put out the fire.  The ill-fated bus has been completely burnt down.

The 33-party alliance led by CPN-Maoist has called banda at eastern Terai ((Saptari, Siraha, Dhanusha, Mahottari, Sarlahi, Bara, Parsa and Rautahat districts) and Central mid-hill (Sindhuli, Ramechhap, Dolakha, Sindhupalchok, Kavre, Nuwakot, Rasuwa, Dhading, Chitwan and Makawanpur districts) regions today.
